Welcome to the IZKF
The Interdisciplinary Center for Clinical Research (IZKF) is the central structure of research development of the Faculty of Medicine of the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). Its mission is to improve the overall quality of clinical research at the Medical Faculty, to stimulate interdisciplinary research, to advance the careers of young scientist and to foster the acquisition of extramural funds.
So far, the IZKF has annually called for proposals for laboratory rotations in the Clinician Scientist Programme (Step 2), together with the junior projects. In the future, you can apply continuously for the rotation positions in CSP Step 2. Please find the changes in detail in this article.

"TOPeCS" supports Clinician Scientists in the Step 2 module during parallel clinical and scientific work, in order to obtain generated (methodological) knowledge, especially in the phase of expiring projects, or to promote preparation for the application for extramural funds. Applications can be submitted to the IZKF until September 1st, 2022.
